Wow. i've read needful things before, and i just got the urge to skim through it again. When i reached the part where Brian Rusk kills himself , i couldn't stop reading. i HATE that part however, and it disturbs me everytime i think of it, let alone actually read the words. Sean is begging brian to stop and i think that's what bothers me the most. However, i do not wish it wasn't in the book because since it is in the book, it makes it even more shocking. it makes you realize that's what all this did. it drove little boys to commit suicide, it drove people to kill each other, it was CHAOS.
I believe the reason this part disturbs me so much, is not only because it's a little boy killing himself with his baby brother in the room, but because it reminds me of similar actions which took place involving my dad and his big brother. Although it's not my story to share therefore, i won't, i want to take a moment to realize something. SK has the power to completely change my emotions in an instant, and that is pure talent.

Without a doubt! my emotions usually remain relatively the same throughout the day unless something happens, but it seems when i read, every page is different. Tears of sorrow, tears of joy, happiness, FEAR!, disgust, etc. owe it all to mr. SK!
