Red face Is Stephen King prescient?

How else could he have based The Dead Zone's Greg Stillson character on Rick Perry?

Oooh, not sure how to respond to that!

It's a bit weird though, I just came to the computer room from watching The Dead Zone on tv. Hadn't seen it or read it in years but I had to get the book out and I'm only a few pages in and remembering why it's one of my favorites. So when I logged on and saw this was one of the first threads, well, I just thought it was odd.

Now I'll be watching Perry with different eyes. Or maybe ALL of them? Which one would shove a kid in front of themselves to save their own skin... Good question.

They are all Greg Stillson, going around to public meetings with their shirtsleeves rolled up to show us how they are just working dudes like the rest of us..now if they can do the lady gaga thing and fall down while eating a hotdog we can have some real entertainment.

I dont know I thought he died when he got hit by a car. Or maybe he died like three times over time. In the news, the first time I heard king died in Hollywood when they set him up at a meeting over a script. It was a few years after the movie carrie came out. They said he was in holly wood and had just made a deal for a script. Then he was in his hotel room right before the meeting and they killed him at the table. But then again maybe he is still around! Proffesor King is what I like to think about the man named king!
