    Exclamation Proper precautions

I loved this book. One of my favorite so far. That said, I think a warning is in order for anyone who has not read it yet. This book talks a lot about cutting and self injury. Anyone who may be triggered by such things should NOT read this book. I have had problems with cutting in the past, and this was a difficult book for me to read, so I just thought I'd pass on the warning.

Well appreciated tip BA...when someone is afflicted with one or more of the various mental health issues or compulsions-I find it miraculous that so many are able to continue to function "normally" due to the multitude of triggering events barraging them on a daily basis-the printed word being only one such "land mine"...

Thanx. I wonder though, with your warnings to others with a similar traumatic history, how Lisey's Story is one of your favorites. What I'm getting at is how to help others so they can read the book, like you can.

Good question. I have a really good support system that works for me and a lot of people to help me through the bad times. It was a pretty difficult read for me, but with all that, I managed it okay.
