Crossed the line?

Hey All,

I thought Pet Sematary was a great movie but the ending was disappointing, it was stupid. I thought this was one Stephen King movie that they won't screw up, but the ending killed it. I thought there's a movie that won't get a sequel and wrong again, I bet Stephen King had a few drinks after the sequel came out, it would make me drink too-Pet Sematay to was awful.

I'm watching this now, such a poor film compared to the book, why are all SK movie adaptations such low budget with bad actors? There are only one or exceptions like Green Mile, Stand by Me, The Shining. The only person in this film to come off as a good actor is little Ellie. Good book though, it is so far fetched that it can't really cross the line.

I guess I disagree with a lot of posters here and I'll admit I did think that SK kind of did "cross the line" with this novel.
Before I read it, I had seen a clip of the movie, something about a spooky cat, and I really didn't expect to be too spooked by the book, and boy was I wrong. It scared the living hell out of me, and if I think about it too much, too close to bedtime, I have nightmares!

For me, I get that maybe there shouldn't be "lines" that shouldn't be crossed, for a fiction writer.... I guess it's just the whole thing with Gage, his son, losing him, and then, feeling guilty over not being able to save him, and bringing him back... that part where he goes to dig his son up and opens the casket and describes what his son's corpse looks like... OMG. and how he was talking to him, and... when he took him to the pet sematary and when that huge creature stood before him... that part was ....SCARY!! and how when he had to kill Gage, his son was there for a brief moment and said "Daddy?!" and was in pain...
before he died...
wow. Just... yeah, I'll be honest and say I do think King crossed a line. that's heavy stuff.
