Yeah really good podcast. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Bachman books collection with this one in it for like a couple of pounds, i didn't even know it was rare!
Good point on the comparison to Catcher in the Rye i thought exactly the same when i read it recently. However it still is King through and through, although his young self was probably still finding his own voice while being influenced by other writers as most young authors are.
Really enjoy all your podcasts on King though so keep going you've picked some really interesting subjects to cover so far.

I can't wait to listen to it until after I read the story itself. I ordered a hardcover copy of the Bachman Books (it was quite expensive, but in great quality) on eBay only for Rage, basically, and I'm really interested. I'm not a big fan of any creator trying to suppress his or her own work for whatever reasons they might have, but thankfully some copies are still available.
