So frustrated with Amazon right now

So over the weekend I ordered a copy of Gunslinger Born graphic novel from an Amazon marketplace seller. On Tuesday I got the package - eager to start reading it but instead found The Gunslinger - Dark Tower book one. I contacted Amazon, was sent a shipping label to return it and I then re-ordered the book, this time from a different seller. Today, I found the package when I got home from work. I have been looking forward to reading it so imagine how I felt when I opened it up and again - another copy of the Gunslinger - Dark Tower book one. Same mistake from two different sellers. I ordered it for the third time today. Let's see what I get this time.

At least I will be getting refunds for all these incorrect items.

I will not deal with Amazon anymore. They sent me to collections, for something I did not even order. Let me tell you that was a hair pulling experience. Months of talking to people who did not even know what collections were. People not even in my country, telling me I did order said product, when I proved that I did not order this product. It was a GIANT mess.

Yes - Gunslinger Born is the first book in marvel's dark tower series - the book I got was the original Gunslinger novel published back in '82 or whenever.

I checked the links and thought the first cover looked familiar. The only comic books I own are the first set of Dark Tower comics released a few years ago. I have the original first cover comic and the reprint that has a different cover. I got two sets, but the person I got one of the sets for divorced from the family, so now both are still mine.

Their customer service department has been helpful and apologetic - I guess it would be more fair to say that the third party sellers are the ones my frustration should be aimed at. It's just so absurd to have the exact same mistake happen twice like this.

I have always had good experience with Amazon's customer service, but when dealing with third party sellers, well, you're dealing with third party sellers. Glad to hear that Amazon's being helpful, at least.
