Default Good SK starter for a teenager

Okay, need some help here, guys! I have a highly intelligent 13 year old who LOVES reading. I started reading SK when I was 15 and started with the Tommyknockers. I'd like to start a bit lighter for her. She already read Eyes of the Dragon, and is ready to progress. Any suggestions for me to give her? I was thinking Cell, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Much love to all!!!!

Cell would be a good one. I think Alice is one of Stephen King's best characters, and your daughter might identify with her. Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon is also good, although she might not want to be reading a book witha "kid" character. "Hearts in Atlantis" is such a bittersweet tale. Love that one lots. The other option would be to work on some short story collections. I recently re-picked up Nightmares and Dreamscapes, which has some great yarns in it (Given the popularity of zombie stuff these days, Home Delivery might appeal), and I also love Everything's Eventual.

    Hope that helps.

I think any of them would be great. Carrie is a character that high school girls can really relate to. The Shining is such a classic haunted story that it is also a perfect high school read.

I started SK at a young age.11.I started with Salem's Lot.It really doesnt mtter unless you want to shield her from certain material. If I had to recommend one it would be one of the Bachman books.Excluding Roadwork.

There's some colorful language, but "Christine" might be a good one for a teen.
