Strange autographed book

I have a First edition, Hardcover, SIGNED, limited Ziesing Book in leather and it has no number. Is this bad?

I can think of several possible explanations here, but I have no way of knowing which one would be correct. It could be an "overrun" copy, where they did a couple of extra copies in case they ended up needing one, like if one got destroyed before reaching its buyer, that seems most likely to me.
