    Question Found a mistake!

Hi. I am a high school student just reading Misery for the fun of it and I came across a mistake in the novel. In Misery, page 107 in the paragraph where it says "At the corner of her mouth dimples appeared briefly" there is a punctuation mistake. The sentence states.... "And while I always use to enjoy the newsreel and. the color cartoons and the feature"........ of course i noticed the random period placed in the sentence. Am I wrong to find this a mistake?

    Wrong? No. Overly analytical-maybe...

Nope not wrong, it is a mistake-- error in editing. This happens. Enjoy the book.

If you were a snarky grumpy ol' geezer with a bad attitude like me, I might say...hmm, no, you probably don't want to know what I might say.
But since your in high school, let me just say this, Go Get 'Em Tiger!
(a good eye for detail is a most worthy skill worth cultivating, you know, before your hair falls out and you discover there is a definite downside to gravity...it's all in the small details, or so they tells me)

Attention to detail is never a bad thing (unless, perhaps, you're undergoing the Ludovico Treatment), but I would resist the temptation to start cataloguing this kind of thing. Obvious typos -- and even actual grammatical or continual slips -- are easily ignored so long as they don't actively intrude on the development (or, more importantly, your enjoyment) of the story. It's when something reaches off the page and pokes you in the eye that you should start to worry . . . but that's another discussion.

I've found quite a few of those in not only SK's books, but others, too. Just an editing error.
