Does anyone have a copy of Hill House with SK's forward in it? If you do, could you check it and see if that is the forward where SK talks about how the character's of castle rock changed and the little tidbit of the famous author who wrote the 10 words or less short story.. for sale: baby shoes, never worn. I thought that was in On Writing, but it isn't.. so it had to have been a forward I read recently. This is one book I no longer have, so I can't check if it is the one I am thinking of. I really really do wish that SK would publish a loose-leaf book of his forward/afterward (like a recipe book) and as he writes more, we could purchase the pages to add to our 'cook-book'. It would be handy to have them all in one place.

I've always thought sai King is as interesting a conversationalist as he is a storyteller.

I love, love, love all his forewards, notes, and afterwards.

I also like the forword and afterword of each book. It gives insite to the story itself and I usually find it to be amusing and sometimes they make me laugh out loud. Got to love that about Sai King.

Does not appear to be the forward you are looking for, friend.

Heh! I'm looking in Secret Windows, right...cause maybe it is there..."I believe Oswald killed Kennedy and he worked alone." From "An Evening with Stephen King"...p395, Cleveland Casual Publishers, circa last century

I consider the foreword to be like stage dressing....a little touch here and there, maybe adjust the lighting a bit...there thats good! ok refill the coffee cup & turn that page...

I LOVE the forwards and am disappointed if there isn't one. This is where Sai King talks to us...I have been known to stand in the store and read the forward before I even get to the checkout...
