Also, there was a commercial for a new hotel in Las Vegas with more than a few images that reminded me of Kubrik's The Shining movie. I wonder if it was on purpose?

Another episode where not much happened really. Im a little dissapointed but hopefully the show is building to something crazy. I really hope it steps up a gear next episode. Fingers crossed.

Because of Shane's choice, Carl lived. He DID tell Otis to take the bags and leave him, but Otis refused. It was a tough call, but Shane chose Carl over Otis. Strictly as an observer, I could say that Shane committed a repulsive and criminal act. If it was my son, whose life he saved, I would probably be glad he made the hard choice to sacrifice Otis, rather than allow all three of them to perish.

gotoguy was going to get bitten and thought the drugstore sex was a bit gratuitous but all in all I was mostly satisfied with this addition. I will have to think long and hard about Shane's treatment of Otis.

*sniffs* 'Course, had I been writing it, I'd have had two die.

I heard a nasty rumour that this season was going to be split after the first six episodes. That right? Because, tbh, not a whole hell of a lot has happened so far. Nice bit of tension in ep 1, but after that...nada. It's quite laggy compared to the first season...and tension can be created very cheaply by insinuating there's something there, when in fact it's just wide open space. It'd also make the Walker pay-offs have more impact.
