In those days, too, Stephen was known to put away quite a bit of beer. He was simply unwinding with the writing, I think. I'm glad he did, because there was so much important information about how he wrote and thought. Also remember when he mentioned how much acid he did in college. Myself, I'm surprised he could recall as clearly as he did in this book! So, I think he was having a lot of fun just letting his mind go for a change. And one other thing I'll say about him here: He does his absolute best to include his readers as the people they are, and share as much of his personal views as he sees fit. And I for one really love him for that

By the way, your son seems to be very intelligent and observant to have made those points about this book. I'm glad he took the time to read something that Stephen wrote which is not fiction
