I too love John Carpenter movies, but the movie Christine, while good, fell short of being as good as the book, IMO.

Would love to have a Christine Fury, would even settle for a scale model. Did any company make a scale model of Christine? I have scales of Mad Max cars (Mad Max & Road Warrior), Back to the Future (I & II - didn't care for the III car) and the Phantasm '71 Cuda. Christine would make a nice addition. 'bout time to head to ebay.

I own a 1:18 version of Christine, and it's available on Amazon:

It's a lot more than I paid for it, but I'm sure it can be found on eBay for less. Also, the headlights can be turned on, which gives it a creepy look, especially at night.

I LOVE John Carpenter, but he did not 'get' Christine AT ALL. He has been known to say he never understood what was so scary about a haunted car in the first place...makes you wonder if he read the book...

I'm sure a pro like him would of done a fair bit of research. I thought the film was very good and portrayed Christine very well.
