Hello Fellow Fans -I am in need of some serious help. From the age of about 12 though my late 20's I was a voracious reader of all things King. I read everything, even the more obscure miscellanea like the early paperback Bachman novellas and things likeDanse Macabre. Then about ten years ago I got married, had five kids in quick succession, settled down, starting paying mortgages, etc., and as a result my pleasure reading bandwidth pretty much dried up. I really haven't read anything since I believe the late 90's GUNSLINGER books.Well now I have more time to read but I need help in prioritizing what King novels to focus on. The Key Question I need help with:1) If you could suggest one book published by King since the year 2000 to a friend what would that book be and why??I eagerly look forward to your responses!WD
If you have the time now, 11/22/63. If you don't think a "time travel" novel is for you, believe me, the time travel aspect is a small factor and the bulk of it is an amazing piece of story telling, character building, relationship forming, and a beautiful sense of nostalgia. (Stephen said he wanted to try and avoid the whole nostalgia thing, but thankfully, he failed.) It is a biggie though.
