    Red face I Luv It

I just started reading this yesterday, I'm almost half-way through, but that's because the past 2 days have been extremely long and I've been reading it every chance I get. The scariest thing so far is how easily I identify with Arnie, I'm going to make a wild guess that that is probably not a good thing. Damn, I wish all the conversations in my life always had that same perfect theater worthy dialogue like in SK novels!

Hi ZBliss! I LOVED Christine! The Plymouth Fury was a way cool car. Christine, apparently, was made with all the bells and whistles! Yay! and Yikes!

Wait a minute, I've got only a couple of more chapters left but I think I may have missed something, can some enlighten me?

After the bullies trash Christine and Arnie and Leigh see it in the parking lot the chapter ends before we know how he returned it to Darnells. Later though, when Arnie is sitting in the car the cop Junkins shows up and asks him some questions and the cop says he knows Arnie is lieing about the condition Christine was in after they wrecked her, then later Darnell says he remembers how bad the car looked when Arnie got it back. But then Arnies back starts hurting and we read about how his back hurts because he had to push Christine all the way back to town, but she began to repair herself and he rode in her the rest of the way back to the garage, so if she was repaired how did Darnell ever see her broken? I'm confused.

GNTLGNT- I only use the time machine on saturdays

C'mon, Darnell-a reliable witness?...and I suppose H.G. Wells has the damn thing tied up the rest of the time?(He's such a dimension hopping hog)

Christine was an awesome book I have to agree. Didn't King said once that he likes, when machines start to live.

This book is actually really sad, Arnie was innocent through the whole thing, and then his best friend got his girl.

It's a tragic yet wonderful tale about friendship and love. Arnie's only crime was buying the wrong car, although I think he didn't have much of a choice as far as buying the car was concerned. It grabbed him immediately and wholly, like a possession and slowly began to control his mind. Also, as far as Leigh is concerned, the thing between her and Dennis would have never happened had Arnie not become consumed by the car. It turned him into a different person.

I'm a big enough fan, I'm actually trying to buy Christine..well, at least a 58 Fury. A guy not too far from here has one that's been sitting in his barn for probably twenty years, and I'm slowly convincing him he REALLY needs to sell it to me And, believe me, it's in far worse shape than the original Christine..I have a feeling I'll have to do a lot more on my own than Arnie did!
