Thumbs up Just a little text to show my admiration.

    Hello everyone .
First, excuse me for my english, I'm french, and I don't think I am a perfect english speaker !

I want to share my point of view about the movie, and the book. Like every single King's books I read, it is absolutly great.
A thing I want to emphasize is that the movie is really the same as the book and when I saw it, I was shocked to hear Hanks () say the exact same things as in the book.
The book is maybe better than the movie (I always find books more precise and they give more details ), but in this case, I'm really shocked (for the second time ) to find a movie at the same level as a book. Both are very well !

So yes, this book is really moving, and the movie, a little less but I can't resist to the tears when I see Caffey dying on the electric chair.

What do you guys think about it ?

Sorry again for my english .

    xx

    Hi,

Welcome to the MB, and keep posting!

Your English is great, don't worry.

I thought the book was superb when it was first published in weekly parts, and I think Frank Darabont et al did a marvellous job with the movie.

    Long days and pleasant nights

Your English is fine. I think the movie The Green Mile is a great example of Hollywood treating an sK story as it deserves to be. Thanx for posting and keep doing so!

Hi and welcome. You English is fine. Always enjoy the book better than the movie, but must admit, this adaption was spot on. Introducted to the Green Mile when published in installments. Keep posting.

The problem with English speakers, not you, but English speakers, is that we refuse to listen. You expressed yourself well. I won't attempt to say what my French teacher (I had two) said...maybe something that sounded like (I was a "C" student at best) bonne! Or is it bon! Will you ever forgive me?

I loved the movie and the book, have read the book numerous times, and with the last read, I find myself disappointed with Paul. I can't help by see some kind of relation to the way Mr. Jingles ran after the spools, that running after spools, and the walk down the mile, the times only for practice and the others for the final event.

Your English is fine. I love Green Mile,I think my favorite. John Coffey is so excellent. Don"t think there is a better character out there.Michael Clarke duncan played the part of Coffey very well.

I cannot tell you how many times I have been disappointed by a cinematic presentation of a favorite story of mine! But, the adaption of The Green Mile was as close to truth to the words that can be achieved.

I still do not adhere to that old adage "A picture is worth a thousand words"; especially when it comes to Mr. King's words
