I was very excited to get this book. Baseball is one of my favorite subjects. Everything to the neat little size of the book to the awesome cover made me love to read this book.
Through the story I loved all the references and the lingo; but I can't say that much about the story. I'm not going to go on any rant, but the story lacked. I loved William Blakey's staightforwardness, and the other chatacters were fun to read about too, but the story just seemed lack luster to me.
Morality, I liked even less. Simple as that.
But, silly me, the theme of baseball made me love "Blockade Billy".
If I said to William Blakey "Blockade Billy was good", I'm sure he would say, "Yeah. Blockade Billy good."
