Default Carrie, the first book read by Stephen King

I'd visited my mother's house years ago. I remember that evening. I let myself in. The house was dim and silent. Something caught my eye, something out of place. It was a book. As I love books, and was curious as what it was about this book, I picked it up and browsed through it. Intrigued, I took it home and read it. I was spellbound throughout the entire book. I was also convinced, that Stephen King was a new type of paranormal writer with important messages for mankind. I was excited. From then on, I became an avid reader of Mr. King's books. For a long while, I was a constant reader. I still look for a Stephen King novel, when I can.

This kind of same thing happen to me. 5 years ago my sister had lend a King book from Library and I saw it and thought, I've heard of King before ( I've never read anything of Stephen before this short storie book my sister had lend) maybe I should read this. I was a hot summer and I sunbathing and read this book by King and after that I become a fan of his work.

I remember the first time I ever read a Stephen King book. I was 12 and stuck at my grandma's small, cramped, boring apartment. She was a chain smoker that would go on religious rants that didn't really make sense while shaking her fist at the ceiling. I grabbed the biggest, most intimidating book she had (The Stand) and was not able to put it down. I was drawn into a new reality where instead of having crazy grannies to keep me company, I had pyromaniac Trashcan Man and kind Nick Andros to entertain me. I was in love. A lot of people don't get my affection for Stephen King, especially my sister who is one of those nose in the air types that only claims to enjoy books written by "non-mainstream" writers. I have yet to actually see her read anything.
