Comment on the Haunting of Hill House

I'm reading Secret Windows to complement my creative writing studies, and upon reading Stephen King's extensive examination of this work, reminded me of something my late mother told me. She said that of all the stories of haunting houses that she'd ever read, this story surpassed them all. She'd also seen the movie, which was good; however not as great as the book. However, the movie was the best she's seen in haunting house stores as well.

I've a copy of Secret Windows, Essays & Fiction on the Craft of Writing, Oss, although I don't recall the particulars about Jackson's story. Where are King's words about that story located in SW?

Too, I have Stephen King Horror Library edition of The Haunting of Hill House, and in this edition there is an @22-23 page introduction by King.

King has seemingly always been complimentary of Ms. Jackson's Hill House...I've read it, and she indeed gives you a great story! On the surface, it doesn't seem much like a "ghost or haunting" story, but like all great writings-sticks with you LONG after the fact...
