The regulators might have been a better choice for the movie adaptation than desperation.
Wow, you just reminded me about the Spaghetti-O's portion of the book! Everytime I see them on the shelf at the store I get grossed out. I often find that I put myself in the character's places. SK's books especially do this to me. For example, with Misery, it seemed as if I could almost feel some of the pain Paul Sheldon was going through. I would wince and rub my legs because everything was so detailed. Love SK!
Regulators on Audio was better then reading it .... maybe you skipped over too much...you have to imagine to enjoy
Hey All,
I read both books a long time ago, I read The Regulators first and then Desperation. I thought Desperation was better, I have no idea why I didn't like The Regulators like I did Desperation. It just wasn't 1 of my favorites, even SK has a bad book every now and then, he's human.

While not his best work, I enjoyed it just the same. I was surprised at how quickly it jumped into the action and kept everything going at quite a pace. Not typical King at all. He normally spends hundreds of pages building up to something that happens and is over in fifty. Nothing wrong with that, but King books have always just been slow builds. This one started off at a fast clip and just kept on going.
