Enjoy! Rose Madder was a great read!
Rosie-real is great...no "bull"...
Rose Madder is one of my favorites. I actually purchased my copy years ago in a Dollar Tree for - you guessed it - $1 - brand new! Don't know how it ended up there - I think it was the only copy in a very small section of books - but I wasn't complaining.![]()
Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think Rose Madder was just ok. A little more of a miss than a hit.
Needful Things on the other hand I consider to be a hell of a book.
I just started reading it the other day.. OMG when Oh my jeez I got scared! And I haven't really been rivited with it so far. Its getting so much better, a third of the way through and I don't love it as much as others but finding out that mad times!![]()
Rose Madder is one of my favorites. There is a connection between Rosie and Norman, their thinking patterns are so much alike because they were married for so long. It's one of those unspoken yet obvious things that King is a master of doing-taking the little secrets of real life and incorporating them into his books.
I was disappointed when he dissed the book (just a little but still) in Minnesota at his reading in 2009. I figured if he dislike any of his work, it would be Maximum Overdrive! I know it has its fans but still...
