Things I liked in this movie:

All of Damien Lewis' performance.
How they handled Duddits.
The bit with the alien outside the bathroom door.
The bit where the military helicopters attacked the downed UFO.

I didn't care for the movie as much the first time as the second. I had read the novel after the first viewing, though. I think it's one of those movies that gets better with multiple viewings.

Gotta disagree Blunthead. I like elements of the movie, but generally speaking I think it's a load of bunkum. It's more like a souvenir of the book - rather than a worthy adaptation... IMO of course.

Elements of the film were good. They did an excellent job with the set for instance. But on the whole, it was pretty bad.
