I cannot imagine Bill Murray as Batman, but the choice of Michael Keaton was strange at the time too. Interesting read:

I really enjoyed Murray in "Where the Buffalo Roam". It was the original version of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas". I think Murray was better as Hunter S. Thompson than Johnny Depp was.
