I have mentioned on this forum before, I love Mr. Kings introductions. I think that most people here will agree that it is one of the most endearing things about his books. It gives us a glimpse into his writing process and his opinions about the story or novel. His introductions to Everything's Eventual were awesome. I wish it was something he did more often.
The only gripe I have is in LT's Theory of pets. He mentions that it was his favorite story to write in the collection and the purpose of the story is to steal the readers heart and to eventually surprise the reader with a gruesome ending.
I think he may have built things up a little much. lol. It was a good story, don't get me wrong. But the ending wasn't quite as hardcore as I was expecting and his introduction ended up throwing me all off. I ended up liking the story more if I allowed myself to forget the introduction entirely. Anyone else have an issue like this?
