Okay. So I just finished The Eyes of the Dragon. Second King book and I seriously couldn't put it down! If you haven't finished the book, don't read any further because this post will spoil some stuff for you.
SPOILERS:
Now for my question. Church of the Gods. In particular, it's falling over at the end of the story. And waking up Flagg which led to him going after Peter (a very frightening scene if I do say so myself. Couldn't breathe while Flagg was climbing the stairs). As soon as the Church fell, my brain screamed that it has to mean something! There just seems to be so much in the fact that it's falling woke up Flagg which inevitably led to his leaving Delain. Any ideas? I'm kind of going with the idea that sometimes the intents of evil are used for good. I mean, I don't think Thomas would have ever faced Flagg if it hadn't been forced by Peter's escaping, i.e. exactly how the ending played out, if it were not for the Church falling. I feel that this really helped Thomas grow as a person. He needed to face Flagg and I don't think it would have happened any other way.
So those are my thoughts on it. I'm curious if anybody else has any thoughts on it? I'd really enjoy reading what other people think about it.
Thanks!
