Default The roll out of The Green Mile.

Back when The Green Mile was initially published It was issued as a novel in six different installments.. In my opinion that made reading of the book a huge anticipation factor a must read just to see where the story was headed..

I agree! I waited impatiently for each book to be released! It was fun though and I loved the story then and now.

I used to rush home from work on the day it would be available at the local store. Eagerly read the book, and then patiently wait till the next installment.

I agree. It was a fine ONE TIME experiment, don't know whether I would want to go through that again. Maybe because life has become a little more unpredictable since then.

I used to haunt the local bookstore, pacing around and making a general nuisance of myself(see how things never change?)-waiting for the next portion of the "serial" to arrive...that anticipation just made-for me-an already great read, even better...

I got the whole set that year for my birthday. So I didn't experience running out for each chapter. But I do find it interesting that it was released like that. I would love for another book to be issued like that just for the experience part of it all.
