Tom Selleck is the perfect Roland.

He has all of the features, (tall, lean, aged, grizzled, and steel blue eyes (almost)) and has a great resume of western movies.

Paul Blackthorne. I saw him in Special, and there is a part at the end where it hit me- Oh crap, he could do Roland! With the exception of the blue eyes, I think he would be a good fit.

There is a new show on NBC on Thursday night at 10:00 called Awake. A policeman is living (dreaming) in 2 realities, in one, his wife lived through the accident, in the other reality, his son lived through the accident. I do not know this actor, don't remember ever seeing him before, but as soon as I started watching all i could think of was 'he is Roland'. Put a weather beaten hat and jeans on him and give him the gun... that man is Roland. Check it out...
