    Default The best songwriter

I've really enjoyed the commentary and observations on pop culture and will miss that column in future issues. Some of the books and music that you've suggested have been like gifts and before you go, I'd like to share one with you. Austin musician Bob Schneider is an amazing songwriter and I think he surpasses McMurty in depth and versatility. I read your original article about how music should reach put and grab you and I have to tell you that I have not been hit so hard and viscerally as when I heard Bob's "Changing Your Mind" off his Lovely Creatures CD. The whole CD is excellent but that one made me sob like a baby. You have said that music should come out of the radio and grab you - interrupt you. Take a listen to Bob. He's all that and a bag of chips. Thanks for all the things you've shared. I hope you'll enjoy this.

Thanks. I knew Coner from Bright Eyes but I'll follow up as I haven't heard anything from him in a while. Hope you enjoy Bob. Thanks for sharing.

Neil Young, beyond a doubt, not just for originality but for longevity too.
