Firestarters one of my favs for sure. Id read the uncut version just because its longer. I find that I never want SK books to end, so the longer the better for me.

I read Firestarter for the first time within the past year or two, and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. In regards to the Stand, I agree with Motocop. Just read the uncut, no point in reading the other.

I read Firestarter 4 years ago. Don't remember much of it. Just a few details. But it was good.

I always choose the uncut version of any SK books. Always. He took the time to write it and must have felt the need to make it the size it became for a reason, so the least I can do is choose uncut version. Actually I dont often like the other 'cut' version any because too much is left out and SK's books are really never long enough-admit you, you always close the book slower than you open it....putting off the end as long as possible perhaps? hmm

Firestarter's a good book but I saw the movie first and liked it alot, I thought Drew Barrymore was good. I'd read the uncut ver. of "The Stand" first because it's the best book ever written !
