Gah! You have got to be kidding me. The crap thing is that this will likely get turned over to a collection agency at some point and ding your credit report. Perhaps consider doing a one-man sit-in/protest in front of your local AT&T store until it's resolved? I dunno. Or maybe ... In Kansas City, one of the local news agencies has a thing where they basically shame companies that do stuff like this. It's bad publicity, so the situation gets fixed.
