Desperation re-read

I have just finished a re-read of Desperation. OMG! Scared the bejesus out of me!! My husband was away for the week and I'd forgotten just how creepy this one is, picked a bad week to start reading it again, I hardly slept. Being afraid of spiders didn't help, also I've had a Catholic upbringing so all the religious stuff really struck a chord. What an excellently crafted book, the story is so clever and Tak really is one of the most terrifying creatures I've ever come across. All that stuff about the chinese in the pit going crazy on each other etc, really freaked me out. Have now just started reading The Regulators as want to make a direct comparison, but I'm scared already!! Not much sleep for me again this week...

Hello there, I know something even scarier than reading it...living it!! ahhh!!! I'm here in the warped out things of these towns. Fallon to be precise. Oh the things I could tell...I'm originally east coast born and bread. I was conned into comming out here by my own brother. Maybe he really belongs here..but not me I wanna get out. And yesterday isn't fast enough...lol.
