Default The Origins of Annie Wilkes' Name

Was Annie Wilkes name derived from the famous assassin John WILKES Booth's middle name? What is the meaning of that peculiar "coincidence?" Is it that Annie is a murderous crazy woman who can act, and John B. is a murderous assassin actor?

No connection whatsoever that I'm aware of.

...besides, with Paul's bum leg-it was too hard to get him upstairs to the Presidential Box...

Annie Wilkes full name is "Anne Marie Wilkes Dugan", which is an anagram for:

    "Reawakened, unsmiling, a...."
    and
    "Damage nurse, liken a win"
    and
"Maladies re: a new gun, ink"
    and
    "Kneel, a marauding swine!"

    Wow, very deep!
So what are you sayin', that a big box on the side of the road that makes telecommunications possible, has some kind of coincidental and/or conspiratorial possibilities, or that John Wilkes Booth's closest friends may have called him Annie?

Misery came out after The Drawing of the Three. King felt trapped and pressured by everyone to keep going towards the Dark Tower and he hated it. Misery=6, Roland=6, Chastain=8, Deschain=8. King pronounces it just the way it looks when he read the audiobooks, Dess Chain.

Wilkes Booth assassinated a president. The Crimson Kings minions were after King whenever he wrote about Roland. Paul had a car accident and got pretty beat up. He was forced to write more about the story that he hated and thought was over after his accident. King pushed out the three final stories of the Tower after his accident as well. It's all 19, man! Speaking of which, Annie says that 9 is a number of power and if you double it it's even better. Double it and add 1 and you're all the way there.
