    Default Reading it now.

I am in the middle right now. It was hard to stay with it in the beginning but I have stuck with it and it is getting good now. The book seems to jump around to much for me.

Glad you hung in there, and you're right-there is a lot of back and forth "movement", but it all pays off in the end(or is it?)...

I finish it. I was disappointed. The story was interesting but there was so much that could have been left out. To many extra paragraphs of unnecessary words and descriptions. I had to wade through the tough stuff and I did skip over some paragraphs. I think it was because it was 2 authors combining padding. It could have been a lot shorter.

I agree on the long discussion parts in the beggining, however I thoroughly enjoyed it! I read the Talisman a very long time ago and Black House made me hunger to go back and re-read... very few books do that to me but when they do you can bet Stephen King has got something to do with it. I think also that being a Tower junkie made Black House even more attractive in my eyes but I can see how some might not catch on to a lot of it.

I also had slight difficulty with some of the longer narrative parts and found myself glancing through them--they must have been written by Straub?--something I hardly ever do. Overall though I love "Black House," some great characters there.

I really liked the part where the guy did the thing and then said something about doing that thing that he did.

Oh, and Talisman >>>>>>> Black House

Yeh I'm pretty sure you're thinking of a different King book. I clearly remember, as that was my favorite part.

Might be a stupid question in here, but all of you made sure to read Talisman first right?

I didn't read the DT series before these books but after. Still, Jack Sawyer is def my favorite Stephen King character. My fav character out of all the books I read in fact.

Can't wait for the sequel of this as I really enjoyed the ending of this and much enjoy this story as a whole. I mean, I read 7 big ass books from the DT series after these ones because of the temptation of Jack Sawyer possibly being in them/connected to them.

Hey all. I am new here. I read the Talisman many, many years ago (along with numerous other King books). It was great then. I picked up Black House recently and saw it was a sequel, so I re-read The Talisman as a refresher. I am about 200 pgs shy of complete for Black House. I absolutely LOVE these stories. I haven't read anything by King in a long while, I don't know why? Just got away from reading years ago. I picked up Full Dark, No Stars and was taken in with the story about The Little Sisters. I recently ordered all of The Dark Tower series, can't wait to read them and hope for another sequel to Balck House.

Jackie boy is one of my favorite characters ever.
