I've always been a re-reader...when I was young we didn't have much money and whatever books we took home from the library had to last the allotted two weeks. Since I couldn't read slowly, I read each book more than once.
With King's books, they are so wonderfully layered that it would take me a few times to absorb all the nuances and creepiness, especially with IT, The Talisman and DT series.
I just got a friend of mine to start DT and I'm re-reading them all for the fifth time (sixth for some of the books) and as always I'm excited to start the adventure all over again.
I'm dedicating this re-read to John....long days and pleasant nights.

Oh I LOVE rereading Stephen King. I would much rather read new stuff he wrote, but alas I've read them all. I am currently rereading The Stand though and among those - Gosh - what, 850? 1000? can't remember - pages, there is always something new to be found. but of course, now I feel like rereading Pet, IF I can master up the courage that is.

Re-reads are kinda like going back to a great buffet...you get to "taste" things you didn't while hogging along the first time....

Every time I reread a book, I see things abit differently, usually understand something better, but always find something I must have missed or forgot before.
