Default Saw the movie, Read the comic, but

... is there a book that this was based off of? If not I'm bummed out.. Creepshow is one of my favorite films and my third favorite horror comic. It'd be the coolest thing ever to find out theres a novel its based off of. I hope so.. but I'm doubting it..

If you can scare up an old copy of Cavalier, you can read "Weeds", that's what "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill" was based on. And "The Crate" was based on the short story of the same name, published in Gallery magazine. But these stories are hard to track down and they have never been collected and given a wide release. Everything else was written expressly for the film, although I think "Something to Tide You Over" has a LOT of similarities to "The Ledge", readily available in "Night Shift".

It certainly predated his wading into the waters of the Marvel Universe by many years...

I know that this is a comic, but I was curious if there was a novel or anything novels he wrote that have a similar story line.
