So what becomes of Rachel?

The subject line says all you need to know. I think it is a fair question, to boot. Not talking about the book version but the movie version of Pet Sematary.

It seems to me the movie ends with Rachel killing Louis. Keeping this in mind, Rachel is brought back by Louis. With Louis not necessarily in a position to do anything about her, she is sort of free to go on her way.

So what becomes of her?

Well in the movie and the book it isn't totally clear that Rachel kills Louis, we are left to make that assumption. Who knows maybe she didn't kill him and they lived happily ever after. Not likely right?!?

Didn't I see that she moved to New Hampshire and founded an artists commune? Sounds familiar...

The last line in the book is one of my favourite Sai King last lines, redolent with menace -

'Darling', it said.
