    Default The Mill

    Hello All,

I just watched Stephen King's Graveyard Shift about 2 nights ago, and couldn't believe I missed this; it was so obivious. Did any1 else she the name of the mill, Bachman Mill? I totally missed it the first couple of times I watched the movie. I didn't know if this was planned; or just by accident that his pseudonym, Bachman, was used as the name of the mill. Did any1 else catch this the 1st time or did they miss it like I did? I look 4ward 2 reading Ur replies 2 this.

    THX,
    -Kris-

Inside references are always a hoot...that ain't the only place they're used...they're sprinkled through books and movies both....

    Hey There,

I just thought it was funny; because it took me the 2nd time after watching it b4 I put 2 and 2 together,DUH. I think it is cool how they R used in his movies. In fact, I noticed a Stephen King book in The Road Virus heads North; I don't know if U noticed it or not? It's near the end and Berenger's character trips over it; I don't know which book of his it was, though. I do agree with U a lot, inside references R a hoot, it adds 2 the movie in a way. I also think it's cool that he appears in some of his movies; it should appear in more. I think he is great in cameo roles, pretty good 4 an author:-).

I once read a book from a library in North Carolina, Morganton to be exact, that was called "Bag Of Bones Interviews" with Stephen. These were excerpts taken from the old Playboy interviews and what have you. It was a very interesting book, and in it he said that working with some of the directors on the movies was much akin to walking a gauntlet every day during the filming! Happy Thanksgiving Week all!

This isn't about king, But it was done in the movie the ''evil dead 2, dead by dawn.'' There is a scene where campbells hand turns on him, trying to kill him. After cutting off his own hand, he traps it under a bucket and puts a stack of books on top of the bucket to hold it down. The camera zooms in on the top book, which is. ( hemingway's, A farewell to arms ) I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that.
