And that is their choice--bravo to them for submitting--yet there is a lot more to the site than hopefully getting your hands on a signed book. I guess if they don't see that they could be classed as "losers" in more ways than one.

Harsh? Maybe, but I'm at the point now where frankly my dears, I don't give a damn anymore. Cheerio.
Oh that is well said Ally! you say it so perfectly, I can't really add to it but to quote you that the ones who stuck around were not included, its those that came only hoping for a treasure and return only to bitch about Losing, which We don't give a Damn!

    Hi Everyone,

I don't post here a lot but it's not because I don't love Stephen King. I do, and I posted to share a story-that he replied to my letter when I was about 17 and I thought that was very kind of him. But I don't post because I used to post a lot on another message board, and I found it very addictive. I finally weened myself off that board and it took a long time. So I am afraid to start up again. But I peak here because I am such a fan. And when I saw this fun contest I decided to take a shot. But please don't think that just because some of us don't post that we are less fans than those who do. Some of you might not get so caught up with message boards as I do, but for me it became too encompassing.

Coming from one who arrived here much too late -- unfortunately -- I give Stephen the thumbs-up for the winning picks. His "Empire" was a wonderfully enjoyable idea; of course, what less could I have expected? I got a big kick from the winners, but also from Stephen's examples. "What a wonderful way to burn a copy of "Twilight"!" That made me feel exactly the way I did when I read those hilarious things in some of his novels. Truly refreshing to feel that way, too. And I agree with the idea that he was looking for the photos and captions, not where they originated from. How could you feel slighted when entering a contest such as this? 1) It's on the Internet. 2) There's only real judge...I think. 3) This is his place. 4) It was his idea. 5) And this is the kicker...he came up with a way to negate any kind of professional advantage. Anyone with a good sense of humor and able to take a photograph stood a chance. Certainly not like "Dancing With The Stars". And, in the end, if anyone does feel slighted, just think...how many photographs did Stephen King.com get from people everywhere! Happy Thanksgiving all, and stay safe...great to have everyone here...even if things don't always go our way

Notice, not one more reply from the complainer, she's gone, of course. And don't let the door hitcha........ Also, I don't think Steve hates dogs, I think he knows the pain of losing one, or the fear of being cornered by a really mean one, and thought it would be a hoot to share with us, thanks S! Me love you long time!!!
