Default Not much of an "Empire..."

If all 12 finalists are based in North America! Think I must've missed that caveat in the rules/conditions of entry...

You might want to take a look back through the thread itself and the semi-finalists as you'll see that there were submissions from places outside North America. I guess you missed those.

You guess wrong. I guess you missed that I was specifically referring just to the 12 finalists....

Two posts: one to enter, one to complain. Methinks I smell a bit of sour grapes.
matronbabs, if it's any consolation, I liked your picture and caption! But any time you have a contest where 2,000 people enter and only 12 can win, odds are you're going to be in the fine company of 1,988 people who did not win! I was just grateful for the opportunity to compete at all, it was a lot of fun.

Look again, then. The 50 finalists that Steve was choosing the 12 winners from included posts from outside North America. Honestly, I doubt very much he was bothering to see where they were posted from--he was judging by the photo and the caption.

They never really are in the end...hmm, I imagine that's why they feel an uncontrollable need to strike back.

(yeah yeah..but come on, not a lot to work with here...oh really, well go ahead and try to come up with a snappy Ottaman/Roman/British v. lil' 'ol SK Empire's pun/joke/epiphany/deep meaningful thought....uh huh thought so, they can't all be gems ya know)
