You certainly are an enthusiastic message boarder. I like that. I vaugely remember watchin Carnivale and liking it. Think I'll have to rewatch it. I too was sadly disappointed with the Lost finale. Such a cop out in my opinion. I never watched it when it was on tv, just got all the seasons together at once. Love watchin shows that way. Haven is awesome! I watch on hulu. Someone else said Lucas could look a little like Roland. I guess I can see that. Maybe if he was a little more rough aroung the edges he be closer. I wonder who Roland is gonna be in the pictures. Yes Shawshank was the prison from, "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption." Good story. That was crazy when the real Audrey Parker showed up huh?

Wow, Haven has more than one episode? I saw my first one last night, thought it was the first. I'll have to look for the others.

I'm a huge fan of Haven. I was a huge fan of HBO's Carnivale. I was furious when they unceremoniously pulled the plug on it. I still haven't forgiven them.

Haven's opening music reminds me of Carnivale's opening music. The actress who plays Audrey is eerily similar to Carnivale's Sophie. The whole Minister of Evil motif is in both stories.

Has this been discussed on this message board? If so, could someone kindly direct me it?

I'm looking forward to any info anyone can toss my way. Thanks. I'll hang up and listen to your answers.
I loved Carnivale. Season 1 was a little hard to follow and slow at times but was still quite good. Season 2 was great. The show may have one of the best final episodes I've ever seen. Many final episodes of shows are kind of disappointing but the final episode of Carnivale was magnificent. You know, I hated to see the plug pulled on it but I think it went out on a high note. I would love to see some SK works like The Stand done as one or two season HBO shows. Under The Dome would make a great HBO series.

Yes, Lucas does look a little like Roland. Same slim build and intense expression.

I personally would find it to be a bad idea to compare Haven with Carnivale: the latter is unalloyed genius, whereas the former is an extremely mediocre show which really only has fantastic lead actors (Rose, Bryant, and Balfour) to recommend it.

    It isn't.

The producers can SAY it is all they want, but the two have virtually nothing to do with each other. It's no more similar to its source material than The Lawnmower Man was.
