Characters

I've been reading SK books for most of my life. I enjoy his characters. He does a great job of making you feel like you know them. I picked up The Colorado Kid after watching Haven. I knew that the series is loosely based on the book and draws in material from other stories. I must say I enjoyed the book even with the ending. I just thought it was too short. Not because I felt the story was lacking, but because Stephen made me fall in love with the characters of Vince, Dave & Steffi and with the island. I know he gave us that Steffi stayed and Vince passed 6 months later. But I'd love another story on the island if one comes!

I think a full novel in the "hardboiled detective" vein would be a hoot-if he decided to pursue it...ala Mike Hammer and that pistol packin' bunch...

I did indeed like the characters Vince and Dave. Steffi was ok, I guess, but I've always loved the smart males more then smart females.

Besides that, the book could drive someone insane. I'd love to know what happened. It's infuriating that we don't know. I understand that it's about things we might never get answers too, but with the progression of science and knowledge, those things are becoming less and less.
