    Default Just wow!

Yep, I got into this immediatly after I finished the first book, and BOY do things pick up here! Absolutely fascinating from beginning to end! I love the shootout with Roland and Eddie in the drug dealer's lair, and was thrilled at the end when the Gunslinger is wreaking havoc on modern day Earth in Jack Mort's body as he's searching for bullets and medicine.

Roland seems to be more heroic this time round, and maybe his actions here kind of redeem him for some of the unsavoury things he had to do in the first book. Loved it!

Read on, continue the journey with Roland and his Ka-Tet, and be one with the characters. It will change your life.

    Hi!
I'm glad that you're so thrilled, and that you took the opportunity to read the series. Btw, The Drawing of The Three is personal favorite, although Wizards & Glass comes in close second.

I have to agree with you. This was my favorite of the Gunslinger books, but Wizards & Glass is close!

Drawing of the Three is by far my sentimental favorite of the series. I think it was 1989 - I was with my dad at the grocery store and I saw this book on the shelf. I had never heard of it, I just thought the cover was really cool. I got my dad to buy it for me and I tore through it. I didn't even realize until I had nearly finished it that it was the second book in a series. I immediately sought out a copy of the Gunslinger and I was hooked. After that, there was a lot of waiting, a lot of re-reading again and again. The books became my ka-tet, gracing the bookshelves of anywhere I lived. In the end, the wait was well worth what was given and we all say thank ya.
