Film or book?

In this case, book. However, there are several SK movies where you could watch the movie first and it would make little difference:

The Running Man
The Shining
Cujo

there are probably more that wouldn't make much difference, but off the top of my head, these three movies offer such differences between book and film that knowing one before the other doesn't affect the first-time experience.

Always the book. I'm glad I decided not to watch the movie earlier and to read the book first, now I don't regret it. Though, I really liked both the book and the movie, the book is always better.
