I've got a couple copies of the Bachman Books- you should have let me known and I would have sent you one. You would get the paperback version, which is a bit more worn though.![]()

True enough, an author can do whatever he likes with his work, but when I read grandiose statements like the one below -- in a book purporting to instruct would-be writers -- and then watch the author of this hollow sentiment censor himself when the evening news hits a little too close to home, it makes me question if this guy actually believes in anything that doesn't have a dollar sign attached to it.
"There are a lot of would-be censors out there, and although they may have different agendas, they all want basically the same thing: for you to see the world they see...or to at least shut up about what you do see that's different. They are agents of the status quo. Not necessarily bad guys, but dangerous guys if you happen to believe in intellectual freedom."
Just a thought.
It's in my attic somewhere (literal and figurative).
I had no idea he took one of his stories out of print because of political correctness....Very strange(Deep frown)...Dosen't art imitate life and vice versa...Perhaps Rose Madder should be taken out of print as thousands of women are terrorized and stalked, by their ex-husbands, every year....children are molested every day. I think he should reconsider The Library Policeman....The more I think about it, the more irritated I get...It is quite in vogue to tear down christianity now days. Not politically incorrect at all to use a major character in a book that "praise Jesus", every other sentence, to justify murder...Damn Stevie! You might reconsider a few dozen of your stories. There is a lot of bad s**t going on in the world that you have written about. Wouldn't want to offend anyone.
my mm get me a older copy of the Bachman books (with rage) at a thrift store
