Heads up re Final Submission Choices

As Steve mentioned in his initial letter for this project, he plans to sign 10-12 books for those submissions he likes the best. I spoke with him this morning about the possibility of signing copies of Full Dark, No Stars and he is agreeable to doing so. The final submission choices will be announced around the end of September but we will not be able to send the signed copies out until the book is released on November 9th.

Sorry to bug ya, and sorry if I missed this info elsewhere, but are all of the former submissions not in the two finalist groups out of the running?

The 100 semi-finalists have been taken from Posts 1-900. Any others in that range are out of the running.

I'm confused. The "Stephen King Newsletter" said: "The last date for submissions is September 3rd, 2010." Does that mean submissions after the range of 1-900 are out of the running, but just being submitted for fun at this point? Inquiring minds need to know! Thanks.

Unfortunately for me , no, but if we ever do this again, I will strongly suggest to Steve that there be a limit.

There were 50 picked from Posts 1-400; 50 from Posts 401-900, and the final 50 will be from Posts 901-?. It means that all entries from Post 901 to whatever has been submitted by 4 PM Eastern on Friday will be in the next round of semi-finalists. There will then be 150 from which the final 12 will be chosen. That's one reason why we're not announcing the finalists until the end of September.

Oh . . . I get it now! Thanks a bunch for the clarification. I was hoping the brambles I waded through to get my picture were not endured in vain!

Ok I need some help. There is no limit on the submissions, but everytime I try to put a new photo on the submissions thread I get a message from webpage box that says new losers 1. jpg: exeeds your quota by 23.2 kb. This happens no matter what I try to upload.

When the top twelve are chosen from the 150 finalists, can they request their preference on a Stephen King book to be signed, or will it only be Full Dark, No Stars signed books?
