I just finished Eyes of the Dragon yesterday (I am going to the library and rent 6 books at a time, every two weeks) and I thought, though it's not his best it was OK as a fantasical story.
It was written for his daughter, so I was sort of suprised I found this in the Adult Fiction section with the rest of SK's books/novels/etc,not in the YA Fiction section, but maybe they just wanted to keep all of SK's books together?

I did like it,though, and Flagge reminded me of a Proffesor Snape-ish character, and NO I am NOT in any way comparing HP to SK !
    I am just saying !
If they made this into a movie for YA (hint, hint),I think the bloke who played Snape should look into Flagge's character.
    Just sayin'

I just finished Eyes of the Dragon about half an hour ago. An easy, great read. Flagg reminds me not of Professor Snape but more of a Voldemort character. I actually saw a lot of Voldemort in Flagg...but enough of the Harry Potter comparisons. The book was great, can't wait to get started on the DT series, I've waited way too long to read them and I just can't put it off much longer.

I had owned Eyes of the Dragon for several years before I got to read it, partly because I knew how it was written and to what purpose. But as I read more and more of it, I became captured by the story, and I think that some of the characters, not all, were sufficiently developed and vivid. Overall, I enjoyed the story, and I think is a good one to introduce our youngsters into the SK World.
