What deaf people do you know that use cell phones? They can't hear so how the heck can they use a cell phone

Someone said it earlier, they could text. Thats how they use land-line phones, they have a keyboard and an operator talks for them. At least thats how it was way back in the 90's, I had a friend whose parents were both deaf.
