Seriously what if a couple of people were deaf then wouldn't they be immune to the pulse from the cellphones where the deaf person wouldnt use a cell phone in the first place anyway but you know what I'm talking about.

Yes, that's a logical conclusion--just as those who didn't use a cell phone were also immune because they weren't exposed to the pulse.

    Hi,

Indeed, and it just occured to me that deaf people probably use cell phones for their texting ability more than they ever used land lines.

    Long days and pleasant nights

Hmmm....I always interpreted the "pulse" to be exactly that.....more of a wave than a sound . So, in my opinion, if a deaf person did use a cell phone, I think they would still be affected as it is not a sound that corrupts the listeners mind, but more a "pulse wave" that fries the brain cells when the person answers the mobile...

Although...I can see that the other answer is more logical! lol!

Others gained immunity due to bystanders impatience with their non-stop nattering and chattering into the the little electronic devils, so aforementioned bystanders helpfully inserted them into a posterior lower orifice-thereby saving "talking head" from zombification...

I don't think so. Pixie Light (or was it Pixie Dark?) was hit with a weaker dose of the Pulse and she wasn't even talking on the phone so it makes sense that a deaf person could still get hit with the Pulse but it would be the weaker hit. Nobody is immune to human primitiveness.

Well i don't think they would be immune but certainly less likely to get it - as they wouldn't have an ear to the phone. I always thought the pulse travelled in some kind of signal given out from the phone rather than just the noise being made at the other end. Just my opinion, good question though.

It seems to me that if they had a cell phone then they should be affected by the pulse which, as far as I know, isn't really a sound
