I love audio books...actually I love UNABRIDGED audio books. But it appears that both Desperation and The Regulators are only available abridged. Does anyone know if there are any plans for those two to be released unabridged?

I haven't heard of any plans to do so.
CWS-for the right amount of coin of the realm, I might be persuaded to read my novels for you...![]()
I have an unabridged copy of Desperation...It's read by stephen king himself.
I'm surprised by this - I remember from one of the afterwords in the Dark Tower books (King himself read it) in which he said that he never allows abridged versions of his books to go into audiobook format.
I think I will have to get a hard copy of the book to read. I was disappointed to hear that the audiobook I had listened to was abridged - I didn't really pay attention when I grabbed it from the library. I liked what I listened to - I thought the beginning of the book especially (how the various characters get sucked in to town and drawn together) was particularly well done.
