First time reading finished (spoilers maybe)

A friend of mine is pretty new to Stephen King's books. I bought her The Gunslinger a while back for Christmas or birthday, (I forget which) and although she finished it, it wasn't really her cup of tea. I leant her Salem's Lot, and she is really enjoying it though. I'm hoping she'll still give the rest of the DT books a chance. Apparently she's moving onto IT next. (Another good un.)

"It" will win her over. The second book of the Dark Tower series, "The Drawing of the Three," would likewise be her cup of tea. Many women I know don't warm up to the first book. They never think it is bad, but it doesn't often speak to them. This isn't unlike how many women don't care for the movie, 'The Unforgiven" with Clint Eastwood. It is a great movie but there is something about it (and I submit the first DT book) that speaks more directly to the male psyche.
